Exp 3 - Week 1
Facebook is updating its data use policy in an attempt to give people more clarity on how the company uses information they share. The company also said it planned to reduce costs $550 million to $650 million by 2015 and use the savings to invest in its brands and offset higher commodities prices. During a conference call with financial analysts Tuesday, executives said the company was still on track to release. plans to notify its more than 900 million users of the changes through advertisements around the site. Although profits from a new t-t Pacific region unit, which includes China and Japan sales - a $5 billion gain for the 33 percent stake - Facebook also has given itself more leeway on how long it keeps information it collects. The new CEO, Ben Feder, said Tuesday that he and other new executives are working closely with The Coca-Cola Company, the world’s largest soft-drink maker, reported fourth-quarter profit on Tuesday, about how it collects people's data and uses it for advertising, as well as how long it keeps such information.
Explanation: The combination of companies enforcing Facebook to be even more powerful. Also the idea of whatever Facebook says goes, no users have an input on the matter. The collection of peoples data where it can be used against them.

Exp1 Final submission
Sketchup model
The work of Stelarc uses an idea of having machinery and organism combined where it works as one with the idea that it is in sync with the human body with the thought of having an extra working limb to be advanced and glamorous.
Ai wei wei's work proposes a mysterious sculpture where it is nothing you would see in this age only in our imagination guided by the light coming from the object in a dark place. The form of the object would not be seen if it were not for those distinctive elements curving around which creates a sense of object is still not complete with its exposed skeleton. With the naturalistic movements of the curves it almost seems endless and not in a standard movement where it is more like a streaming flow of water.
Bourgeois's fearsome work is something you dread not to see in front of you, what resembles a spider in my eye where in reality is only the size of your palm it really is a blow up of it. The unsymmetrical form really creates the idea of it being life like an organism.

The proportions of each element is determined by the use and circulation of space such as the gallery having the most. The stairs are spaced away from each other but both arrive at the central space and both allow a satisfactory dimension for access and artworks to be moved about. The textures are defined by what is structure and in the lower level a continuous wall maze like wall leading to the artists room accentuating the word mysterious.
STELARC - Mechanism, Automate, Glamorous
